What color should I put in my hair (highlights) and how should I do it?

I am an Asian Male, and I was thinking of putting highlights in my hair. The only problem is that, I don't know what color I should put in, and how should I do it. It depends. Do you want color, like purple? or do you want a color like brown? If you want a natural color, put medium brown in it! It'll look awesome, and very sleek. If you want a color as in purple, put in red, lime green, or purple. Black hair looks so cool with bright colors like that!
